Higher strength-to-weight than 6061 Aluminium

The Mark One prints outer contours and curves in engineering nylon and fills each part with close-packed reinforcement in continuous carbon fiber, Kevlar or fiberglass. The printer actively switches between two nozzles during a print, creating fiber-reinforced plastic parts with a strength-to-weight ratio better than aluminum.

The magic is in the print head and our unique approach to materials. Unlike traditional thermosets or epoxy resins, our special blend of thermoplastics immediately hardens during printing.

The incredible strength of carbon fiber comes from the long, continuous strands that carry load down the entire part. This is why space shuttles, rockets, and Formula 1 cars are constructed from full length, continuous strand carbon.
